Yes. Modules 2 and 3 cover SQL and Python from the ground up before any Azure service is introduced. The course also suits SQL and ETL developers, BI developers, support engineers and data analysts moving into engineering. Freshers should take the full track rather than fast-track, which assumes an existing SQL or ETL background.
What are the prerequisites?
None are mandatory. You do not need programming or cloud experience: SQL is taught in Module 2 and Python in Module 3, from fundamentals. SQL is one of the core skills commonly tested in data engineering interviews, so the course builds it early. If you already write SQL comfortably, the fast-track option may suit you better.
Are Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Microsoft Fabric included?
Yes, all three. Azure Data Factory is Module 6 (pipelines, parameters, triggers, integration runtime, incremental loading and error handling). Azure Databricks is Module 7 (clusters, notebooks, Apache Spark, PySpark and Delta Lake). Microsoft Fabric is Module 12 (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse and Dataflows Gen2). Which certification does the course prepare you for?
DP-700, leading to Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate. Microsoft retired DP-203 and the Azure Data Engineer Associate certification on 31 March 2025. Module 17 covers the DP-700 skills measured, practice questions and exam mechanics. The exam is 100 minutes, proctored and booked through Pearson VUE; exam pricing varies by country or region, so check the official Microsoft Learn page before booking. Our suggested learning path is AZ-900, then DP-900, then DP-700, with DP-600 optional. This is not a Microsoft-required sequence. Microsoft issues the certification, and we cannot guarantee a pass.
Are hands-on projects included?
Yes. You build five hands-on end-to-end projects across the programme using live Azure and Microsoft Fabric environments, including one real-time streaming analytics project. Each project comes with an architecture diagram you can walk an interviewer through, and the work stays yours as a portfolio.

What salary can an Azure Data Engineer expect in Hyderabad?
